Founded in 2004 by Bonnie Mohr Jan, the firm’s mission is to settle cases with the least amount of pain and greatest benefit for her clients and their families, so they can move on with their lives and rebuild.



Ms. Mohr believes that divorce is a huge transition on the entire family and often the extended family. Because of this, she takes a practical, holistic approach to help her clients navigate the divorce system.



Practical – While many divorce lawyers are inclined to be aggressive litigators and believe that aggressive litigation or the courtroom battle is necessary to get the best results, Ms. Mohr focuses on the essentials – the resolution that best meets her clients’ needs while addressing the specifics in every case.

Holistic – You can win the battle and still lose the war. There are several moving pieces to any matrimonial or family law action. There also are several moving pieces to drafting any settlement, prenuptial or postnuptial agreement. The Firm’s focus is to keep all of these pieces in mind, along with human element and financial resources, in seeking a resolution.

Educational – While navigating the divorce and family court system, Ms. Mohr works with her clients so that they know what to expect and know what is expected of them; know the strengths and weaknesses of their legal arguments and know their best case/worst case outcomes.

Ms. Mohr is a 2003 graduate of New York Law School and a member of the New York State Bar Association, including the Civil Practice Law and Rules Committee. She is also a member of the Women's Bar of the City of New York and the New York City Bar Association, including the Matrimonial Committee.
