I taught Psychology and Substance Abuse at John Jay College of Criminal Justice prior to dedicating myself to private practice in 2002. I specialize in mood, eating and addictive disorders, although many of my clients attend therapy with general goals of improving their life in regards to relationships, careers, self-esteem and other common struggles, by increasing their awareness of longstanding patterns. I guide clients in overcoming their difficulties by using an eclectic approach of applying various methods (analytic, cognitive, and/or psycho-spiritual) and modalities (individual, couples and group therapy) to help my clients achieve their desired goals. I also must note that Delilah, my dog, is a certified therapy dog and she is ever present to provide additional support.
