Our summer camp focuses on academic enrichment for kids looking to advance in Math, English, Reading & Writing combined with great fun for children ages 4-12. We offer a 7 week summer class that runs from July 8th to Aug 23rd, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00PM. Extended care (3:00-6:00PM) is available for an additional cost. Intersession weeks are also available first week of July and last week of August. For more info please check out http://jeibrooklyn.com/summer.html _______________________________________________________________ Academic Curriculum Math & English • Prepare your child academically for their next grade level in Fall Reading & Writing • For children entering PK to 1st grade. o Apply comprehension strategies (before, during and after reading) o Describe story elements o Recall, retell and re-write simple stories • For children entering 2nd grade and up o Reading enrichment program designed as literature study units that work to reinforce vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills. o Program offered through JEI Reading & Writing curriculum utilizing workbooks that are paired with publicly available reading books Enrichment Curriculum Science • Learning through interactive hands on experiments Art • Painting & drawing with various art materials (i.e. crayons, watercolor paint, oil pastels, etc.) Teamwork • Team activities designed to boost confidence and social & teamwork skills.
