The Unique Pain Medicine center was established in 2010. The goal of our center is to provide individually-oriented, comprehensive care of patients with multiple pain conditions ranging from mild sports injuries to complicated neuropathic and surgical pain. Mila Mogilevsky, D.O. Dr Mila Mogilevsky is board certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). After graduating from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her medical residency at Northwestern University and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). US News and World report has ranked RIC as the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the United States for several decades. After completing residency, Dr. Mogilevsky moved to New York for her training in Interventional Pain Medicine through the Department of Anesthesiology at Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Mogilevsky has continued her affiliation with the Department of Pain and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Medical Center. Prior to founding Unique Pain Medicine, she served as the Director of Pain Medicine at the Bronx VA Medical Center. She was also a Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and served as the Bronx VA’s Site Director for the PM&R Residency Program. Dr. Mogilevsky has authored numerous articles and book chapters related to pain management, and lectures regularly at national conventions. Currently, Dr. Mogilevsky treats a wide array of chronic pain conditions and performs interventional procedures ranging from epidural steroid injections to spinal cord stimulators. In addition, she frequently utilizes ultrasound for the bedside diagnosis and treatment of bone and joint disorders. She is an expert in the use of botulinum toxin (Botox) and visco-supplementation therapy for chronic pain. Because of her background in PM&R, Dr. Mogilevsky has special expertise in treating conditions such as spasticity due to stroke, movement disorders, traumatic brain injury, and neuropathic pain related to sympathetic system disorders.
