Dr. Brett completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. She received her medical degree from The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1994. She completed her internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 1997 and fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 1999. She is a voluntary attending at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital and her academic title is Associate Clinical Professor at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her clinical practice encompasses all aspects of endocrinology and diabetes. She is board certified in endocrinology and metabolism. She is also a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and is Endocrine Certified in Neck Ultrasound and FNA biopsy (ECNU). She has contributed to books, clinical practice guidelines and scientific papers on a wide range of topics including diabetes, nutrition support, thyroid cancer, thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, adrenal disease and obesity.
