Mission Mercy Care Rome's mission is to promote the ministry of the Sisters of Mercy by responding to the needs of older and vulnerable adults and their families, honoring their wisdom and dignity, and helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Community Presence For 35 years, Mercy Care has provided leadership, advocacy and care for older adults and their families in Rome, Georgia. With support from our Board of Directors, the Mercy Care Foundation, local businesses and churches, individuals, regional foundations, and civic partnerships, Mercy Care completed a $2 million dollar capital campaign and relocated all programs to a beautifully renovated historic property at 300 Chatillon Road. Grands Who Care This relative caregiver program provides support for grandparents and relatives who are raising children or individuals caring for a disabled child. The support services include health management, informal counseling, referrals to other services, mentoring, support groups and recreational activities Our spirit is compassion. Furthering the healing ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Care gives tangible expression to Christ's merciful love by providing compassionate, clinically excellent healthcare in the spirit of loving service to those in need, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable. We value compassion, commitment to the poor, excellence, integrity, justice, stewardship and reverence for the dignity of each person. A federally qualified health center and Atlanta's only healthcare for the homeless program (330h), Mercy Care accepts most insurances plans, Medicare and Medicaid and offers a sliding fee scale based on household income for the uninsured.
