He has served as an accountant, auditor, inspector, and investigator. He served as Deputy Inspector General for the Navy in Naples, Italy from 2015 to 2016; Deputy Inspector General for the Navy in the Middle East (Bahrain) from August 2016 to July 2019. Prior to his Federal employment, Abe worked eight years as a Tax Auditor for the Georgia Department of Revenue in Columbus, Georgia. He was the first African American to serve in that job.
