Kathryn Au is an acupuncturist licensed in the states of New York and Connecticut. She has been studying zhenggu tuina (Chinese medical massage) since 2008. She received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, where she also studied shiatsu and positional release therapy under BJ Green. While in California, she interned at the Acute Rehabilitation Ward at the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), treating post-stroke and paralysis patients with acupuncture under biomedical supervision. She has also been trained in levels I and II of the Usui system of reiki. In her personal daily practice, Kathryn practices taiji (Cheng Man Ching’s modified Yang style, short form) and various styles of qigong. She also makes her own herbal liniments for sports medicine uses.
