Sewer Video Camera inspections have become a critical tool in determining the condition of the drain line system in old and new properties. Surprisingly, broken drain lines just don’t occur in older homes, they can occur on any property at any time. Unfortunately, in recent years, there have been many drain line problems in new construction homes due to improper installation and/or severe concrete settlement. With older homes built before 1975, the cast iron drain systems are failing at an alarming rate because they have reached their maximum life expectancy. Having a Sewer Video Camera Inspection done sooner than later will address any potential problems, cracks, or breaks in the drain line system in real time and potentially save you thousands of dollars. Sewer Cats Camera The process to inspect a sewer drain line is done in a noninvasive manner and usually can be completed within an hour or less. The inspection process is completed by inserting a fiber optic cable with a self-leveling camera head into the sewer clean out and/or vent stacks. While traveling through the drain line, the camera transmits full color video footage back to the technician who sees everything on a monitor in real time while it’s recording. If there are areas of concern, the technician can take a photo of the specific area of interest for a more detailed view. Once the inspection is completed, we provide you with the high-resolution videos and photos with a detailed written report for your records outlining our findings and recommendations.
